Day 29: Mirror, mirror

Espejos. Los hay de todos los tamaños y formas que nos podamos imaginar. 1) grandes. Actualmente se están usando mucho los espejos grandes, con marco grueso que solo se apoya en forma inclinada sobre la pared. Se los suele ubicar en un dormitorio, en un vestidor, al lado del armario o en el salón. 2) vintage. Como siempre, me gusta poner el objeto vintage que está muy de moda. Un espejo con marco antiguo o un espejo que de por si ya es antiguo. Al ser un objeto tan particular, no es necesario que el resto de la decoración tenga el mismo estilo vintage. 3) circular, cuadrado, ovalado. Formas hay miles, lo importante es saber combinar la formas con la decoración y con otros espejos diferentes. 4) el espejo sin marco y adherido a la pared ya NO se usa. Paños gigantes de espejo pegados a la pared para "ampliar" el espacio no quedan bien en una casa. Quizás funcione para un bar o un local de ropa, pero en un casa NO. Mejor un espejo grande con un marco grueso que solo esté apoyado en la pared (punto 1). Además lo podemos ir moviendo, cambiando la decoración de la casa cuando querramos. 5) espejo decorativo. Hay muchos modelos de este tipo de espejos que cumplen la función de decorativos y no tanto la de espejo para mirarse, como se ve en la primer foto. Quedan muy bien si se los ubica en un pared solos, sin otros objetos de decoración en esa pared. Este tipo de espejo debe ser el protagonista de esa pared y hasta en algunos casos del propio espacio.

Day 28: Coffee table

Mesa ratona o mesa de café. La mesa baja que se pone en el salón junto con el/los sofá/s. Hay gran variedad de mesas bajas. 1) de vidrio. La transparencia de esta mesas generan reflejo del ambiente y mantienen un brillo constante. La desventaja es la necesidad de un mantenimiento constante. 2) baúl. Está muy de moda ubicar un baúl antiguo junto con el juego de sillones. Se lo pinta, restaura y listo para usar. La desventaja que tiene el uso del baúl, es la dificultad de su movimiento. 3) valijas. Se pueden apilar 2 o 3 valijas y se consigue la altura necesaria. La desventaja que tiene es la misma que sucede con el baúl, la dificultad para moverlas. 4) vintage. Las mesas de madera antiguas, tipo vintage, deben combinarse con el resto del muebles para crear un único estilo. 5) mesa multiuso. Hoy en día se utiliza la mesa ratona como mesa para almorzar y cenar. De esta forma uno se sienta en el sofá o en los puff. Funciona muy bien para espacios pequeños, reemplazando a la mesa comedor y sillas, ahorrando muebles y espacio. Lo ideal para estas mesas, es la altura, pues no debe ser ni muy baja ni muy alta. 6) mesa grande. Se debe tener en cuenta el espacio con el que se cuenta, para evitar luego molestias en el paso.

Day 27: Black sofa

¿Cómo combinar un sofá negro en la decoración sin que se oscurezca el espacio?. 1) el piso debe ser claro. Si es de madera oscura, se debe colocar una alfombra blanca o gris clara en el espacio donde se va a ubicar el sofá. 2) paredes claras. Lo ideal son las paredes y carpinterías (ventanas y puertas) en blanco, pero con colores claros como un gris o un amarillo suave van muy bien. 3) muebles en blanco. Es fundamental que el resto de los muebles no sean de color negro. Es mejor poner muebles blancos o de color, antes de agregar otro mueble en negro. En esta foto se agregó una silla negra porque el espacio es muy amplio. 4) iluminación natural. Cuando se elige un sofá negro para el living se debe tener un espacio muy luminoso, para contra restar el efecto que genera el color negro de este mueble.

Day 26: Divisions of spaces

En espacios pequeños, en un loft o en un monoambiente, se pueden colocar distintos tipos de divisiones entre espacios de diferentes usos. 1) la opción más sencilla y útil, es la ubicación de un mueble biblioteca, el cual permite dividir dos espacios, pudiendo colocar en él, libros, adornos, decoración, o solo dejarlo vacío para que permita el paso de luz natural. 2) estructuras de color. Es importante colocar una división que haya sido pensada con anterioridad, pues esta debería tener el mismo estilo de decoración que el resto del ambiente. Con estructuras de colores (que las hay de varios formatos) se las puede combinar con la decoración de todo el ambiente, eligiendo los colores que en él predominan. 3) biombo. Es muy común colocar un biombo, con la desventaja que al ser un elemento opaco, no permite el paso de la luz natural del exterior. En la última foto que he subido se ve otro tipo de biombo, donde cada una de las puertas posee un sistema giratorio, permitiendo el paso de luz y ventilación. Otro tipo de biombo está formado por vidrio, permitiendo también el paso de la luz. 4)  división virtual. Algunos de los tipos de divisores que se utilizan hoy en día, generan la separación entre ambientes de forma muy sutil, consiguiendo que hasta pase desapercibida, lo cual considero que no cumple ninguna función, como se puede ver en la 3er foto. 5) formas, hay miles, la solución que se vaya a diseñar o elegir, requiere de mucha creatividad, para que esta no resulte monótona.

Day 25: Pallet Recycling

Los palets pueden tener varias funciones. 1) mesa baja en living. Se pinta el palet o se lo deja con su color madera, se le atornillan 4 ruedas pequeñas giratorias y se le apoya un vidrio por encima. También se puede poner un vidrio dentro de la estructura del palet, quedando estantes por debajo de la zona de apoyar. El palet tiene formatos diferentes en las caras de mayor superficie, por lo tanto, se lo puede ubicar en un sentido o en el otro, girándolo 180º. 2) bancos para exterior. Apilando 2, 3, 4 palets, según la altura de asiento que se quiera conseguir, se le agrega una almohadón grande o un colchón o varias almohadones pequeños y obtiene un banco para el exterior desmontable. 3) sofá. Similar al punto 2, se puede armar un sofá con palets, que además permite tener más espacio de guardado por dentro. Se juntan y apilan varios palets, según la altura que se quiera conseguir, y se le agrega un colchón o almohadones grandes y listo...sofá. 4) mueble de guardado. Apilando y juntando muchos palets se puede armar un mueble que puede servir para guardar libros, revistas, cajas, vajilla, botellas de vino, etc. En una de las fotos, este tipo de mueble se utiliza en un local comercial gastronómico. 5) cabecero de la cama. Con solo apoyarlo y/o amurarlo se obtiene un cabecero muy actual. Se lo puede pintar del color que se quiera, combinado con la decoración del ambiente o el estilo que se quiera conseguir.
